Hi! My name is Lauren Meece, and I am currently a junior at Baylor university. I'm pursuing a BFA in Theatre performance with a concentration in musical theatre and a minor in creative writing. I grew up around theatre, because my aunt and uncle own a theatre in Savannah, GA, and it’s one of my favorite places in the world. My grandparents are also producer/directors, so I grew up doing various projects with them. I just took a playwriting class that I loved, and got to have one of my plays workshopped as part of the class. I just had the opportunity to record several songs at Milo and Rachel’s Sound Kitchen studios in Dallas, and had a lot of fun doing that. I also was recently called back for the final round of callbacks for the national tour of Madagascar the musical. This summer I’ll be working at the New Hope Theatre in San Francisco! I love to read, I love to watch plays and then talk about them with friends, and I love piano! My little sister is a prodigy. However, I can only play 4 songs.
